Rapé is a traditional Amazonian medicine made from tobacco and other plants. It can be physically intense. Participation is always optional and offered only with clear consent.
18+ only.
Please do not participate / not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have uncontrolled high blood pressure, heart conditions, epilepsy, severe asthma, acute sinus or respiratory infections, recent nasal surgery/injury, or are experiencing acute mental health crises (e.g., severe anxiety/panic, psychosis, mania).
If you take medications or have relevant health conditions, please consult a medical professional and inform the facilitator before the session (especially regarding blood pressure, heart, or respiratory issues).
Please avoid alcohol and other substances for 24 hours before and after the event, for safety and to support the integrity of the practice.
Come with a respectful mindset: this is a space for presence, care, and mutual respect.
Welcome and brief orientation: context of the practice, safety guidelines, and time for questions.
Opening circle and setting an intention (personal and/or shared).
A guided session where rapé may be offered by a facilitator in a careful, gradual way for those who choose to receive. There is no pressure—you’re welcome to simply observe or participate through breath/meditation.
Possible common effects (varies by person): strong sensation in the nose/forehead, watery eyes, nasal discharge, warmth, grounding, mental clarity; sometimes nausea, dizziness, or the need for “release” (purging). Support and time will be provided.
Quiet integration time (silence, breathwork, music/meditation if included) and a closing sharing circle.
Closing with aftercare guidance and a gentle return.
Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to settle in and check in calmly.
Eat a light meal 2–3 hours before (avoid heavy, greasy, or very spicy food).
Wear comfortable clothing and bring: water, tissues, and a light layer/blanket (temperature perception can shift).
Avoid strong fragrances. If possible, reduce caffeine on the day of the event.
If you’re feeling unwell, extremely tired, or emotionally fragile, consider attending without receiving rapé—or rescheduling. That is completely okay.
After the session, give yourself time to re-ground. If you’re prone to dizziness, consider not driving immediately afterward.
